PSP Firmware Time Machine Is Not A Phone Booth

If you have had the unfortunate pleasure of bricking your PSP with incorrect firmware; or perhaps you’ve found “features” you would prefer in older firmware that you just can’t accomplish in your current one; Dark-AleX over at DCEmu has made a nifty little app to help you choose the firmware you like.

To take advantage of Dark-AleX’s “Time Machine” app, you’re going to need your Pandora battery good to go. Pandora is a battery specifically made to allow you to be a little bit more liberal about what you can do with your PSP as opposed to what Sony wants you to do with it. If you meet that one lonesome criteria, feel free to use this app on either model PSP to help you pick any firmware you like or to fix a bricked firmware PSP.

DCEmu hosts the file if you’re looking to fix a PSP paper weight that you’ve been dying to start playing again. Just keep in mind that the servers might be under a lot of pressure for that file. Apparently a lot of you PSP owners are fairly unskilled when it comes to preventing your machine from winding up a brick.
