The Rockband DLC for 2/26 on XBLA and PSN has arrived as a welcomed addition to the music collection Harmonix has provided us so far. While this isn’t a new band being added to our running set list, it’s at least from a band with a significant following. This week’s Rockband DLC is the Nine Inch Nails (NiN) Pack (440 points/$5.50):
- Nine Inch Nails – March of the Pigs (160 points/$2)
- Nine Inch Nails – The Collector (160 points/$2)
- Nine Inch Nails – Perfect Drug (160 points/$2)
I don’t own any NiN cd’ or anything, but when they’re on the radio or a friend plays them, I dig it. It seems like most people are this way, so hopefully this pack will receive a decent response from the Rockband crowd. If not, there’s always next week…..

It hurt to see the walls crumble around HD-DVD last month. With Toshiba calling it quits this week, I feel almost as bad as I did when the iPhone price drop happened. For $180 I managed to snag the HD-DVD player with King Kong included, Transformers, Batman Begins, 5 mail away movies, and Heroes Season 1 Box Set. I thought it was a good deal, so I bought 2 and sold one, bringing my final price down to around $50.
Today at the Game Developers Convention, developer Peter Molyneux announced some new details about Lionhead Studios highly anticipated sequal, Fable 2. Molyneux explained that players will be able to get a head start making money for Fable 2 before the game is even launched. Lionhead Studios has plans to release an XBLA game that provides you with a few different gambling opportunities to make you some gold. When the actual game launches, you’ll be able to import your money over to the game so you don’t start out poor.
With the success of Portal, one of the many games in the Orange Box, the debate has begun as to whether a three hour game can actually hold it’s own against giants like Halo. What exactly are we looking for from new games? Quality content or length? While some have voted Portal as 2007 Game of the Year, others have rejected it as anything more than part of a compilation.
